Molly just took possession of the new house yesterday 6:15pm Central time (4:15pm there). Apparently the lawn needs mowing and they took "everything". Even the batteries out of the garage door opener. It takes a serious combination of "cheap-ass" mixed with a large set of stones to do that. They did, however, leave us some of the light bulbs, so that's good.
Our realtor gave us a $100 gift certificate to Home Depot. I'm still deciding if that is a good thing... maybe she knows something about the house that I don't? :) Maybe I ought to spend it on structural bracing or something....
Today Molly is in "painting" mode. She has three rooms that she feels that she needs to paint. I certainly am not going to stop her. Painting new rooms is like catnip to her, especially it is her own house. She doesn't have the Internet or anything up there, so I can't post photos yet. I'll be up next Friday, and I'll have Internet the 30th, so I'll be sure to update as soon as I get the opportunity. Now, think about our old house... got the mental image? Ok, if you liked those colors in there, you are definitely going to like the colors in our new house? Oh yeah... (they are the same colors.)
Had the HEI party last night. It was fun. A dozen or so people came out, and we sat out on the patio at Mickey's drinking beer. I was home by about 10:30ish, played some video games and was asleep by midnight. All in all, a good evening. Thanks to everybody who came out. It meant a lot to me.
I heard that (c)rusty's last chance reopened. Anybody want to grab a beer on Monday, early evening? I just kind of want to see what it is like.
